Clear a table

Reset a table to Free from the tables board or the till — and what to do when it will not clear.

The normal way

  • At the till: after settling a table's bill in the collect queue, the same screen offers to mark the table cleared — do it there, standing at the table.
  • On the tables board: every non-free table has a button that steps it to its next status (Seated → Ordered → Bill requested → Needs cleaning → Free).

Table will not clear?

  1. Is a bill still open? A table with an unsettled order should not be forced free — settle or cancel the order first (Collect a bill, Cancel an order).
  2. Refresh — if the board is showing a stale status, reload the page.
  3. Still stuck? Note the table name and any error message and contact support — see Contact support.

Careful

Do not clear a table that still has an open bill just to seat the next party — the unpaid order stays on the books and the money gets lost at close-out.
