"Razorpay is not configured for this restaurant"
Online payments refuse to start because the restaurant has no working gateway configuration.
What happened?
A guest tried to pay online (or you tested the connection) and the system reports that no payment gateway is configured for the restaurant.
Why it can happen
- Razorpay keys were never saved (Settings → Payments shows Not configured).
- Keys were saved but payments were left disabled ("Configured but disabled").
- The saved key was invalid or revoked on the Razorpay side — order creation at the gateway fails.
How to fix it
- Owner account → Settings → Payments.
- Check the status line: configure keys if Not configured; press Enable payments if Configured but disabled.
- Press Test connection — fix the keys if it fails ("Razorpay order creation failed" means the gateway rejected them).
- Meanwhile, counter payment covers every bill — the floor never has to stop (Collect a bill).
What NOT to do
Do not
- Do not paste another restaurant's Razorpay keys to "get it working" — money would settle to the wrong business.
- Do not leave the restaurant in Live mode with untested keys — test first, then switch.
How you know it is fixed
The status reads Connected and enabled, Test connection verifies, and a small test order can be paid online end to end.
Still not working?
If Test connection keeps failing with valid-looking keys, the key may be revoked or restricted on the Razorpay side. Regenerate it in the Razorpay dashboard, re-save, and if it still fails contact RestoQR support.
