Fine-tune a person's permissions
Grant or deny individual permissions on top of a role — the audit-safe way to bend a role.
Where
Staff → a person's row → Edit. The editor shows the role baseline and every permission with allow/deny toggles.
The rules of thumb
- Grant to add one capability to a role that lacks it (e.g. a senior cashier who also counts stock → grant inventory-manage).
- Deny to take one away (e.g. a manager who should not discount → deny billing-discount).
- Changes apply on their next request — no re-login needed, and nothing is cached stale.
- Nobody can edit their own role — including owners. That is deliberate.
