The till works offline (cash and KOTs only)

What keeps working when the internet drops, what queues up, and what does not.

What keeps working

  • Cash sales — saved on the device and synced automatically when the connection returns.
  • Dine-in orders sent to kitchen — queued the same way ("it will send to kitchen automatically").

A banner on the till shows how many actions are waiting to sync, and confirms each batch as it lands.

What does NOT work offline

Do not

  • Do not try to take card/UPI/wallet payments into the till while offline — only all-cash sales can be queued. Take the digital payment on your own terminal and record it once the connection is back, or settle in cash.
  • QR ordering needs the server — guests cannot place new QR orders while your connection is down; take their orders at the till instead.

Verify

When the connection returns, the banner confirms the sync ("N offline actions synced") and the queued sales appear in Takings and on the orders board.
