Impersonate a restaurant (support mode)

See exactly what a restaurant sees to diagnose their issue — with an audit trail and a visible banner.

What it is

Impersonation switches your session into a restaurant's tenant with a manager-level view — their real menu, tables, orders and settings — so you can reproduce what they are reporting. Your own platform identity is not lost: a banner shows you are impersonating, with a button to end it, and the session is recorded in the audit log.

How to use it

  1. Platform → Restaurants → the row → Impersonate.
  2. The console switches into their tenant; the sidebar becomes the restaurant's sidebar (Dashboard, Orders, Tables…).
  3. Diagnose the issue using their real data.
  4. Press End impersonation in the banner when done — you return to the platform console.

Careful

You are looking at a live business. Read-only diagnosis where possible; if you must change something (a stuck table, a sold-out flag), tell the owner what you changed and why.
