Shift close-out
The end-of-shift reconciliation: orders closed, gross, refunds, net and settlement by method.
Where it lives
Admin console → Billing → Shift close-out tab. It is a reconciliation task: expected versus counted, per method.
What it shows
| Number | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Orders closed | Bills settled this shift |
| Gross sales | Before refunds |
| Refunds | Amount and count issued |
| Net | What should be in the drawer + gateway |
| Settlement by method | Cash / UPI / Card / Wallet breakdown |
How to close a shift cleanly
- Make sure To collect is empty or every remaining bill is knowingly carried over.
- Count the cash drawer and compare with cash expected (till → Takings) and the close-out's cash figure.
- Compare digital methods against your payment terminal's own report.
- Investigate differences the same shift — see Payment failed for the safe way to handle mismatches.
